The next AGM of the Mineral Deposits Studies Group will be hosted by Cardiff University in January 2026.

The technical meeting will open on Monday the 5^th of January with an icebreaker. Keynote talks, technical sessions, and poster sessions will occur on Tuesday 6^th and Wednesday 7^th of January. All lunches and morning/afternoon refreshments, and the conference dinner are included in the registration cost. The main conference (6^th and 7^th of Jan) will be at Cardiff University’s Main Building on Park Place. The building is a 15 minute walk from Cardiff Central station and connecting trains can be taken to Cathays station immediately opposite the University.

Workshop: We are aiming to hold technical workshops during the 8^th and 9^th January. Details will be available in the near future.

Prizes: There will be prizes for the Best Student Talk, Best Student Poster, Best Student Masters-level Project, and Best Mineral Systems Talk (sponsorship to be confirmed).

Social events (included in registration fee): on January 5^th an evening icebreaker event. The conference dinner will take place on the evening of Tuesday the 6^th of January 2026. Venue information will be available shortly.

Abstracts and registration: We welcome abstract submissions on any topic relevant to the MDSG community to ensure interesting and inspiring technical sessions. We will have 10 min talk slots (with additional time for questions) and poster sessions.

We will have poster sessions on both the Tuesday and Wednesday  to allow as many people as possible, especially students, to have the opportunity to present and benefit from feedback from the community. All posters should be A0 format in portrait mode.
